Woodland Magic: Bringing Joy to the Children’s Ward at Luton & Dunstable Hospital
10 August 2025Creating a mural has always been a dream of mine — and this year, that dream came true in the most meaningful way possible.
I’m feeling incredibly grateful to the amazing team at Paediatrics Charity and the Children’s Ward & Play Team at Luton & Dunstable Hospital for giving me the opportunity to create this woodland mural for their ward.
The aim was simple yet powerful: to transform the space into a calming, cheerful woodland scene that could bring comfort and happiness to the children, their families, and the incredible staff who care for them every day.
The mural itself is a burst of colour and life. A proud stag stands at the heart of the forest, surrounded by gentle deer, playful squirrels, and a watchful fox curled up with her cub. A rainbow arcs overhead, casting its glow across towering trees, wildflowers, and clusters of red-and-white toadstools. Tiny details invite the eye to wander — a curious raccoon perched in the branches whilst the rabbit is depicte with soft, gentle features that evoke a sense of warmth and friendliness. A wise owl mid-flight, and even a prickly little hedgehog peeking out from behind the mushrooms. Every element was painted with care, to spark imagination and create a storybook world where children can escape for a moment of magic.
It’s been a dream of mine to paint a mural, and to be able to do it for such a meaningful cause has made the experience even more special. I poured so much love into this project, and I hope it brings as much joy to the children, families, and staff as it has brought to me.
Thank you to everyone who trusted, supported, and believed in my work — it truly means the world.

If you’re looking to transform a space — whether it’s a hospital, school, office, or community project — I’d love to help bring your vision to life.
